Campground Policies

The following policies and helpful information have been set in place to ensure an enjoyable camping experience for you and your fellow campers. All campers are responsible for informing their children and/or guests of these policies.

Pets:
We welcome pets as long as they are leashed and under control at all times. You are required to clean up after your pets. Never leave your pet unattended. Only one pet per site is permitted without prior management approval. You must have vaccination paperwork available at check-in. Any violations of these rules, or pets that are unruly, will result in pets being required to leave the campground. (Certain aggressive breeds are not allowed.)

Firewood:
Only Certified Bug-Free Packaged Wood is allowed to be brought into the campground (no exceptions) or you may purchase our heat-treated hardwood .75 cu/ft bundles at the office. Bundles brought in must either be certified as bug-free by 1) carrying a USDA APHIS seal OR 2) a label statement specifically noting that it meets NH heat-treated standards. In an effort to protect the future of Fransted and the beautiful White Mountain Region, we all must do our part to stop the spread of infectious pests. Thank you for your utmost cooperation and understanding of this important preservation policy. Gathering wood from the forest for firewood is strictly prohibited at Fransted. No burning of construction material/pallets/lumber scraps or anything other than split firewood.

In the same regard as our noise policy, activities or actions at your site should not be disturbing for or interfere with your fellow campers’ ability to enjoy their stay. Outdoor TV’s/Theater and Star Shower LED Laser Light devices are not permitted at any time. As a result of input from our guests, all yard games are permitted to be played only in our front field common area.
